Florida Highwaymen Art
From the early 1950s through the 1980s, a group of twenty-six African-American artists known as the “Florida Highwaymen” used vivid and bright colors to depict the beautiful, untouched Florida landscape. Fast-forward to today, the FL Highwaymen are in a permanent exhibit in the Smithsonian, displayed in the capitol buildings of Florida and D.C., featured in movies and documentaries, and owned by many politicians and celebrities.
LiLu's Fine Art Gallery is proud to be the Premier Florida Highwaymen Art Dealer in Northeast Florida.
