Jackie Shindehette started her painting career in 1980 where she began studying with the premier Florida landscape artist Albert Ernest Backus, or "Beanie"as he is affectionately known. A Florida native and the daughter of an avid bird watcher, much of her life was spent learning about Florida's Flora and Fauna. She specializes in Florida landscape and has a style very reminiscent of her teacher Beanie Backus.
